This experiment involved baking soda getting mixed with vinegar, which leads to the creation of a new element. In this mixture, there was the formation of foams which was the carbon dioxide gas. During the mixture, I used enough vinegar where the baking soda present was able to react and disappear into the vinegar solution. The experiment was crucial as it helped me confirm the hypothesis that the bubbles that floated on top of the baking soda and vinegar mixture were lesser denser. It meant that in the combination of baking soda and vinegar, achemical reaction took place, which led to the production of carbon dioxide gas. The observation in this experiment involved asserts that baking soda and vinegar when mixed together, chemical reaction accurately produces two products: water and carbon dioxide gas. In the scenario where the gas is trapped, it would make the carbon dioxide gas builds up until it increases pressure within. The contained gas would cause the canister or the bottle to pop open. Additionally, this experiment has to be in a controlled environment to avoid any accident since this chemical reaction between baking soda and vinegar requires safe protective clothes due to the release of CO2 gas that shoots up as the rocket by placing a cork in the nozzle. The fact is that an excessive amount of pressure inside leads to the ejection of the cork, expelling the gases and remaining liquid downward.

This experiment is crucial to learn about volcano eruption and its causes; hence, through this demonstration it involves an acetic acid present in the vinegar and sodium hydrogen carbonate present in the baking soda, leading to carbonate going through a decomposition reaction forming carbon dioxide as a gas. In conclusion, the hypothesis is to understand how a lower ratio of baking soda in the volcano than the vinegar has an impact on the eruption, which means speed and pressure are involved when acid-base react. In this experiment, I learned that acid and base usually create another product which in most cases is salt and water.
